Tom & Bex
It was an early start as Bex and Tom had booked a twelve-hour wedding package to make sure they had the whole day documented. I roped in one of my past grooms from last year who is a landscape photographer to help me out. James was a godsend, he captured the ceremony from the mezzanine and generally made my life easier by assisting with lighting and lugging my huge heavy case around.
The wedding party were already in full getting ready mode when James and I arrived at The Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury. My bride Bex, Phoebe (the baby) and her bridesmaids were all upstairs in one of the guest houses being made up by the sensational Bath makeup artist Cristy Waterfall and Bridal hair specialist Abigal Constanza. I’m not going to lie, it was a very tight working space and required a certain amount of creativity to capture the goings on. The morning quickly rolled by and before we knew it, the ceremony was underway. Bex, looking a million dollars was given away by her father to an emotional Tom, who was looking rather fetching in his blue and grey attire.

The wedding breakfast was served, speeches commenced and James and I finally tucked into our delicious M&S lunch. It was a super sunny evening, the guests luckily had an hour or so to enjoy the elements and mingle on the lawns before cake cutting and dancing. I took Bex and Tom off over the fields and far away to make beautiful sunset pictures. The evening was completed off perfectly with a sparkler exit. These always look great in the photos but an absolute nightmare to organise as it’s dark and everyone is drunk and nobody is listening. Next time I will bring my blow torch and a megaphone!
