LUCINDA & RICH

Journalist Lucinda and her Bristol City loving husband Rich

Super lovely and relaxed Camden couple, Lucinda and Rich returned to The west country to tie the knot. The weather was being kind, bright and sunny with a cold nip in the air, perfect for a spring wedding.

I arrived at room 16, The Pig near Bath to meet with the lovely Lucinda and her family. The bridal prep room was a hive of activity, Lucinda’s Mum was busy fixing her dress as it had to be altered and re-altered due to Lucinda breaking her arm falling in the snow the night before her Hen party and being put in a plaster cast! Not only that but Mum had to hem the Pageboys trousers as they arrived too long! Christy Waterfall was applying the makeup and Abigail Constanza perfected the ladies hair. The beautiful flower bouquets had arrived beautifully arranged by Bramble and Wild in Frome.

Lucinda gave out personalised gifts to her excited Bridesmaids who were wearing beautiful Champagne coloured dresses, just like Champagne they were elegant and bubbly. The two who don’t wear dresses who wore Burgundy suits were equally as striking! Their Niece and Nephew were seriously cute as their flower girl and pageboy, if a little mischievous as they threw their petals before they got to the church, leaving none for when the happy couple walked down the aisle.

I was excited to arrive at the beautiful Grade ll listed All Saints Church in Farmborough as this is my local church and my first shoot there! The Groomsmen were ushering guests into the church as Lucinda arrived with her Father. The church was full and the choir raised the roof! Jan gave a great humorous service and Lucinda’s Father gave her away. Confetti was thrown at the church gates, and photographs were taken, this was a spectacle!

Hi Kerry,

Just a note to say thank you so much for Thursday. It was so amazing and (in the nicest possible way!) I didn’t notice the photo taking at all – which is my kinda phot shoot! We loved it. Thanks for being so brill. Can’t wait to see the pics!

Everyone then headed back to The Pig, the destination for the post-wedding celebrations. Piggy bites and Champers were served on arrival! Lucinda’s family are keen Tennis enthusiasts. With this subject running throughout the day, the flowers in the church had tennis balls inside, and the tables were amusingly named with tennis themes with the top table being the Centre Court!
After some group photographs Rich and Lucinda made a grand entrance into the dining room where Lucinda’s Father and the two Best Men gave great speeches triggering lots of laughter! The cake, made by Lucinda’s Mum was fabulously gorgeous! So was the dancing and the music provided by a band who were friends of the couple. Rich’s Mum bellowed out a few numbers and pulled some choice dance moves!

The Pig was a fabulous wedding venue and the staff pandered to every need without being intrusive, nothing was too much trouble. This was a great wedding, super couple and lovely friends and family.
