EMILY &WILLIAM
Pre-Raphaelite Princess Emily & her Prince Charming William
This one was a rather special one for me. The beautiful Emily is a friend from uni that I hadn’t seen for a few years, so I was over the moon when she asked me to photograph her wedding to the wonderful William. The venue was the absolutely stunning Walled Garden at Cowdray in the South Downs National Park, so I booked an AirBnB where I stayed with the second photographer Mona Ali (and friend) the night before the big day. After an amazing sleep in the heavenly AirBnB, I met Emily, her bridesmaids and sweet little flower girl at her parent’s house in Chichester. Emily looked like a Pre-Raphaelite princess with her stunning red hair and gorgeous ivory and gold dress. When the time came, we all headed to The Walled Garden and awaited Emily’s arrival in a classy old Jag. It was a dream wedding. The weather was perfect, white fluffy clouds amongst blue skies. The ceremony was held outside, and the gardens felt like a little paradise.

After the knot had been tied, there was a confetti throw and guests perused around the gardens with canapés while we took some romantic shots around the garden.

Guests were then seated and the newlyweds made their grand entrance before speeches were spoken and food was served. After some emotional tears and lots of laughter, the cake was cut outside in a pretty pergola. The guests made the most of the weather and the children and bridesmaids entertained themselves by playing hide and seek in the grounds.
We then headed back inside for the first dance and the party began. While everyone was dancing, I whisked Emily and William away for some sunset shots. Later in the evening, I caught William having a cheeky cigar with his best man outside which made for a great shot!
When the evening came to an end, I managed to capture the newlyweds’ grand departure before heading back to the tranquil AirBnB where I had the place to myself to relax. Just what the doctor ordered after a day on my feet! After shooting this wedding, I realised how much I enjoyed travelling to different parts of the U.K. If you’re getting married and like my style, but live in Sussex, Hertfordshire, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey or Oxfordshire, don’t count me out! “Finally, I’d like to say a huge congratulations to Emily and William, and I hope to see you soon! ”
